2010 Targa 66 Update

2010 has been an “interesting” year so far. In February, we held our 18th annual Targa Sixty Six Club meeting at what was Moroso, but is now Palm Beach International Raceway. In November 2009, when asked by PBIR management to produce $25,000 as a deposit for the track rental, I almost chickened-out.

However, nothing venture, nothing gain and I decided, somewhat against my better judgment, to proceed.

We doubled advertising for the event, and son James with his wife, Dawn, did lots of calling round race shops and to individuals. Lo and behold, February 5/6/7 a great event, with a record
turnout! So, already we have reserved the track for February 25/26/27, 2011.
