News & Updates
Aston Martin Club
Submitted by Brian Redman on Tue, 2010-09-14 15:01
At the end of June I was invited to Lime Rock as a guest of the Aston Martin Club.
Friday, June 25, they held an excellent Concours with over fifty entries. Saturday was a Track Day at Lime Rock Park with the cars divided into groups for “lapping” sessions.
Jim Freeman, one of one of the Aston Martin AMR1’s that I drove in 1989 and also owner of the fabulous ex. Jim Clark/Innes Ireland DB4 GT, asked if I’d do some “charity laps”. Readily agreeing, I expected this would be 20 or so laps around this pleasant circuit.
Wrong! At the end of 80 laps I was finally able to stop, with both car and driver gently perspiring!
